Beloved, I call your spirit to attention and ask your soul to step aside for a moment. Listen to what God’s word has for you today. Amos 8:11 says,
“The Lord God says, the days are coming when I will cause a time of hunger in the land. The people will not be hungry for bread or thirsty for water, but they will be hungry for words from the Lord.”
How do we find vision for our lives? The Bible makes a big thing out of visions. It tells us that without them we are all dead.
It is the lack of vision that is responsible for the diminished energy in people. Lethargy has become an epidemic. Listlessness is a pervasive condition. Everywhere we go, we encounter people who ought to change the familiar bedtime prayer of children from, “If I should die before I wake,” to, “If I should wake before I die.”
Visions are what energize and drive us. Dreams lift us out of the doldrums and give a quickness to our walk. With God’s help, you can determine your own dreams and visions.
So, Beloved, I bless you today with not becoming lethargic and listless as a result of the lack of vision. I bless you with dreams and visions that will lift you out of the doldrums and energize you. I bless you with establishing a mission statement for your lives. I bless you with the motivation to write down clear and specific words the purposes and goals of your lives. I bless you to be able to see in that statement with your own eyes what will make your life successful. And, I bless you with Isaiah 40:31, “But the people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky; they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired.”
I bless you in the mighty Name of Jesus of Nazareth. Amen.
